Kim Finnis is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) and adopts the Resolution Code of Practice. Resolution is the leading association of family lawyers in England and Wales. Its members commit to resolving issues wherever possible in a constructive manner; in the best interests of the family.

Although advice is always provided with a view to easing the emotional and financial cost of separation and divorce, where situations do arise when client's interests need to be protected and safeguarded the practice is committed to this as its first priority.

The practice embraces recent developments in family law including those involving alternative forms of dispute resolution for couples going through separation and divorce and offers Mediation and Collaborative Law Services.

Kim Finnis qualified as a solicitor in 1983 and is an accredited specialist of Resolution. She is also an accredited Mediator and a Collaborative Lawyer.

Kim was the chair of the Surrey branch of Resolution for five years, and a long term committee member of the group. She is currently a member of Resolution's Mediation Committee and a governor of the UK College of Mediators.
